My Description
The ship man tale is similar to a sailors tale. A ship man is also known as s "skipper". My description of a skipper is a short guy, dark hair, who is a leader and is pretty wealthy. Skipper is focused and wants to get his job done. Loves what he does but can be moody because he is a competitive person. A skipper must be a leader and a leader is the captain. The skipper of the ship is the ships boss, and is always the one in charge. The most important quality of a skipper is that he is a leader. He is in charge, bossy and loves challenges. This is my description of a skipper.

American Dream
Timmur Hanhan
3rd period

What is your “American Dream”? Do you want a house that is fully paid, well paid job, and a family without economically struggling? That sure is part of my “American Dream”? How likely is it to achieve my “American Dream” that is yet to be seen. Times have gotten tougher, and hard to live comfortably. “My American Dream” is to have three kids, a nice house, and able to take vacations whenever I want with my family without struggling.
“Overall the incomes earned by the graduates have dropped over the last decade by 11 percent for men and 7.6 percent for women”, stated in the article called “Generation Screwed”. This quote describes how much income earned by kids that even graduated from college has dropped tremendously. Yes, it is tough and you have to work hard to achieve your “American Dream”, but I believe that I can achieve it if I work hard and stay focus on my goals. I know that I unluckily have fallen into the “generation screwed”, but this means that I have to work that much harder to pursue my dreams. I also believe that if you get a good education that can take you far as well.
Education means everything. These days a high school diploma cannot get you very far in life. In order to live a life struggling you have to graduate from college. That sounds scary doesn’t it? My motto is you have a good education and you work hard, and then pursue your dream, because hard work pays off. Athletic training is my dream job. I would like to make a living out of training professional athletes or even a college team. Athletic training makes good money but chances are slight that you will be trainer for a professional team. I would have to start from the bottom and work my way up to get to this level but like I said, “Hard work and dedication can take you as far as you want”. This is my plan in life to help me pursue my “American Dream”.
“A third of smart phone users go online before getting out of bed”, quoted from an article called “Icrazy”. The use of smart phones can hurt us in achieving our “American Dream”, because I believe it can cause mental issues. Smart Phones become a distraction. Smart phones, laptops, and other electronic devices help us, but we also become addicted. Addiction comes with distraction, and with that being said we always want to know what is going on with our phone, and become paranoid. This can affect us in pursuing our dreams.
My American Dream is to own a full paid house, have three kids and graduate from college. I am a confident person and I believe if you work hard you can do anything you put your mind to. That being said, I am very competitive. I want to be the best I can be and make sure the person trying to get my job is out of luck because I beat them to the spot. I think I have all the character traits to pursue my dream and that is my goal to have the best life possible without struggling. My confidence is high and I believe I am capable to get what I want. .
